Meet Phil

As a young teenager, I found myself with a fractured lumbar spine in three vertebrae. My adult life has been plagued with back pain, especially in my lower back where the fracture occurred.

After 35 years of farming, back surgery and a lifestyle change to avoid more wear and tear which could possibly lead to a back fusion, I opted to return to study to help others with their injuries.

As a volunteer ambulance officer, I found it very rewarding to help save lives. Following on from this, I began learning the science of massage over 10 years ago and enjoying a career on my feet to help control my chronic back pain.

Science continues to evolve, and so too does what we know about massage. With a focus on injury management, I have delved into continuous learning and adding services to assist my clients.

Explore a variety of services on offer that can have positive effects on your body. These techniques are used interchangeably throughout your treatment to create an optimal healing environment. You are welcome to discuss options that include certain therapies or not.

I look forward to meeting you and supporting your healing journey.

It's sore...

Ideally, the time to visit is soon after the aching has begun. As your body begins the healing process, we can work on the soft tissue to identify the location of the ache and possible cause. Problems with muscles can trigger or radiate pain to other parts of the body.

It is natural to wait and see if it goes away. It is never too late to book an appointment and consider treatment from another perspective.

Taking the time to understand and find the source of your pain.
A unique approach to helping your body feel its best.

Your first visit

During this visit, we discuss your symptoms and I will use massage to work on the soft tissue. In this method, the aim is to try to find the cause of the pain and assist in helping the body heal.

The various strokes used aims to improve blood flow to reduce inflammation and help you feel better. Other treatment methods may be used depending on what is happening in your body.

Payment is due on the day by cash or card. Treatments may be eligible to claim from private health cover. You will receive a tax invoice to submit for your claim.

Follow-up visits

It is ideal to continue your treatment for a few visits to help support healing. We may also find other areas of misalignment or injury that may benefit from treatment.

The number of follow-up visits will depend on your individual treatment plan.

I’ve been lucky to have Phil follow me with my hockey career interstate and internationally. Phil has treated me while on tour and if he hadn’t, I would not have been able to play out some tournaments.
